Terminal window disappears after HDMI cable is re-plugged

Weston terminal window will disappear after the monitor is re-plugged, the following is reproduce steps:

  1. boot to Weston Desktop
  2. click the terminal icon on the top left corner of Weston Desktop
  3. plug out HDMI cable
  4. wait for 1 second
  5. plug in HDMI cable
