Feature request: Debugger script
What I've seen from the many bug reports: Many of them are related to unusual setups, which is why I propose including a debugger script as a wrapper around the existing scripts that makes them more chatty about what they think the world around them looks like.
It should also be able to do things like making xdg-utils explain which pat's it would take without supplying an argument.
I'd implement this myself, but posting it here in case anyone has some feedback.
